The Accessible Tourism working group currently counts with 17 ISTO’s members from all over the world who meet regularly to exchange ideas and information and work together to provide a better holiday experience to people with disabilities. The recommendations on which the group is working respond to the current needs presented by COVID-19, and also would be applicable in future scenarios of other sanitary crises. The aim is to give practical solutions to provide a quality service for people with disabilities during a crisis of this kind. These recommendations should be taken as a complement to all the guidelines and regulations stipulated by national and local authorities.

In the following weeks the document named “Recommendations to help tourism providers in welcoming people with disabilities during a health crisis such as COVID-19” will be available for all in several languages on ISTO’s webiste.
