With over 50 years of existence, the group Village Club du Soleil, a leader in the mountain holiday villages segment, has grown substantially in recent years. It is now composed of 10 Heritage Village Clubs. Among other things, the organisation aims at the development of family, social and local tourism and general social advancement through training, qualification and employability. Furthermore, the Villages Clubs du Soleil in 2010 received the level "2 stars" of the AFAQ 1000NR which proves their social and environmental responsibility. They also have an environment referent at each village and an annual action plan of outreach to the attention of customers and employees.
