The INGUAT is a government institution of tourism, which aims at promoting the domestic and incoming tourism. As for the domestic tourism, they follow a plan to allow a better understanding between Guatemalans; to give them the opportunity to enjoy the culture of the various regions and the beauty of its landscapes. The INGUAT also works with different institutions and educational centres in promoting tourism for workers and students, making sure to get special rates that permit, in relevant seasons, accessing different tourist regions for people with low incomes.
