ISTO’s Brussels office receives three new interns!.

ISTO welcomes three new interns coming from France and Mexico. Their support is essential to develop the activities of ISTO and to keep promoting a fair and sustainable tourism for all.

Internships are a learning experience for students and recent graduates. They also provide an opportunity for organisations to bring new ideas and projects to life, thanks to younger generations’ input. In this framework, ISTO is constantly opening its door to receive young talent in their office and collaborate with them.

At the beginning of 2022, ISTO received three new interns coming from different backgrounds, but who are each committed to the vision and values of the organisation.

Below you will find a short biography of each of them:

Amandine Abraham was born in France and grew up in Santa Barbara, California. She recently graduated from the University of Geneva with a Master's degree in translation. Her main role at ISTO is to translate various documents from French and Spanish into English, and from English and Spanish into French.

Originally from Paris, Léa Bonnet is finishing her Master's degree in Management of International Tourism at the IREST (Paris-Panthéon Sorbonne). She will be assisting in communications and will work on launching the ISTO Best Practices Awards. In addition, she will be supporting the Working Group on Accessible Tourism. As she is passionate about Japan, she will try to list and reach out to organisations in Asia.

Jessica Pool, from Cancun, Mexico, graduated with a bachelor’s degree in International Relations. She is currently doing an Erasmus Mundus master’s program in Latin American Studies. She will be supporting the activities of several of ISTO’s working groups: Gender Equality, Responsible and Fair Tourism, and Youth Tourism. She will also support the organisation of the 3rd International Week of Fair and Sustainable Tourism for All.

ISTO members and partners will have the opportunity to meet with these young professionals in the different activities and projects that will be carried out in the following months.
