Inspiring European cities.

In 2018, the European Union launched the first "European Capital of Smart Tourism" competition. A total of 38 cities from 19 EU Member States submitted their applications. The big winners were Helsinki (Finland) and Lyon (France).

4 other cities received an award:

• Ljubljana (Slovenia) for sustainability.
• Malaga (Spain) for accessibility.
• Copenhagen (Denmark) for Digitalisation
• Linz (Austria) for cultural heritage and creativity.

All the applications proposed very interesting aspects and a number of good practices can be drawn from these examples. A document has therefore been prepared to share them. Click here to read the document.
