In this webinar, we will focus on the ‘why’ of sustainability and SDGs (what’s in it for me), followed by practical advice how to start your sustainability journey by ‘analyzing’. It is a unique moment for an exchange of knowledge on how we can re-conceive future resilience in time of crisis.

The SDG Webinar will feature:

a. What’s in it for me?

We focus on bringing up the intrinsic motivation of the organization. We will get started with the WHY-HOW-WHAT of sustainability and the SDGs and look at the economic potential of CSR. In this way, we examine the current and desired sustainability culture of an organization.

b. Analyze

We focus on the personal needs and ambitions of the organization. What are the challenges and opportunities? In this step, we examine which ambition levels are necessary to innovate sustainably.

It is very important that you participate as it is the first step of a long way to reach the SDGs in your organization!

ISTO members will indeed have the opportunity to attend another SDG workshop in September that will be the continuation of this one (deep dive). ISTO will also propose a personalized program for the accommodation centers later in 2020. Other types of ISTO members will have their personalized program as well in the future.

Speakers: Hannelore Akkermans (Via Via Tourism Academy - Belgium), Jan Beyne & Sara Vermeulen (Route 2030 - Belgium).

Moderator: Marine Delacroix (Communication Officer at ISTO).
