ISTO's Board of Directors adopts the 2021-2022 Action Plan.

The proposed Action Plan is structured around 5 main axes: operations, communication, international partnerships, financial viability and training through modules. The action plan will be communicated to all members in different languages from the beginning of 2021.

The Board of Directors of ISTO, which met by videoconference on December 15th, formally approved the Action Plan 2021-2022 presented by the President of ISTO, Isabel Novoa, as well as the proposed budget for 2021, presented by the General Secretary of ISTO, Yves Godin. The proposed Action Plan is structured around 5 main axes:

  • the functioning of ISTO which includes internal methodology, commissions and working groups, the honorary committee and wise men, and international partnerships and development with the objective of opening up towards Asia.
  • information, which includes the Social and Solidarity Tourism Observatory project, a social and solidarity tourism library, and in terms of internal information, the in-depth analysis of the members' database.
  • training / education where we find the organization of CafecISTO and business circles as well as training through modules to be developed according to the requirements.
  • communication with digital communication, major ISTO events such as the Congress or the International Week and new initiatives such as the awards on good practices as well as the ISTO label and recognitions.
  • the financial viability which is based on maintaining and expanding the number of members, finding partners and sponsors for the development of the Observatory and participation in European and international projects.

The main axes of the action plans of the regional sections - Americas, Europe and Africa - were also presented on this occasion. The ISTO International Action Plan will be communicated to all members in different languages at the beginning of 2021.
